Household Hazardous Waste

Household Hazardous waste management programs are Curbside's specialty area.  The company was originally founded to manage wastes generated at homes by collecting the waste where it is generated, at the home.

There are three basic methods to collect HHW, from homes directly, at events and through a permanent HHW facilities.  Curbside does and can manage your community's HHW through one or more of these methods.  We believe that your preference may be through the "Door-to-Door" program which is the most efficient and targeted approach.  Ultimately, it is the most cost effective because the budget can be absolutely controlled.

Based upon political and legal changes during the past 14 years of Curbside's existence, we have come to believe that HHW does not just encompass chemicals but also electronic and universal waste along with sharps and non-controlled medicines.

If your community bills residents for trash disposal, water or sewer directly or through a franchise agreement, contact us before you make a final decision on the next rate adjustment.  For a few cents per home per month you can have a complete program.  See the tab above "Funding Sources"
